Today marked end of an era, when Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar retired from the game of cricket. For many years we watched him play, hitting 6's, 4's and taking wicket at times. He was the one who to most of us has showed how dedication, determination and hard work can lead an ordinary man become a "Legend"...
For many of us he was our first hero, those who followed cricket as a religion he was a "God" to them, and for many he was a savior, a warrior and a pride to nation who brought so many successes and accolades for India. He made so many records and broke so many.. But there were others who also if not come to his level or surpassed him but never got the Fan following like him. Why?
But when today he gave his last speech from the ground for the last time as part of "Team India", I found it why. Why he is the most lovable sportsperson in this country with a population of 1.21 billion. Because of his grounded nature, his passion, his hard work, his dedication and his struggle, person from each age group can relate him one way or other. He made us laugh so many times but this time whole nation wept for him.
I will not say that I will not watch cricket or will not follow the game after him but surely cricket will not be same for a long time. So many things have been written for him and so many things have been said. But as a fan, as a person I want to register my thanks and bid-Adieu to our "master Blaster", "Tendlya", "God of cricket"... So shouting once again Sachin....Sachin...Sachin... You will always remain in our heart and I know you will not be able to stay away for long time from this game and you will come back to us may be in another role...
So "Good-Bye" from one of your billion crazy fans, till we meet again.......
